PlayAgainst

Terms of Service

Last updated October 12, 2026

These terms cover your use of PlayAgainst, operated by Pascal Linxweiler. By creating an account you agree to them.

PlayAgainst is in alpha

The service is unfinished and is provided as it is. Features change or disappear, downtime happens, and data can be lost while we are still building. Do not rely on PlayAgainst as the only record of anything that matters to you.

Your account

You need an account to take part in events. Keep your login details to yourself, use a real address you can receive email on, and tell us at support@playagainst.xyz if you think someone else got in. One account per person. You can delete your account at any time from your settings.

How to behave

Play fair and treat other players the way you would at a table. No cheating, harassment, hate speech, impersonation, scraping or attacks on the service. We can suspend or remove an account that breaks this.

What you post

Your profile text, avatar, banner and anything else you upload stay yours. You give us permission to show them inside PlayAgainst so the service can work. Only upload things you are allowed to use, and keep in mind that a public profile is visible to everyone — you decide what is public in your privacy settings.

Pictures and reports

Pictures you upload are checked automatically before they appear. Not allowed are nudity and sexual content, violence and gore, hate symbols and anything illegal. A picture the check is sure about is declined and not stored. One it isn't sure about only appears once someone from our team has approved it, and you get a notification either way.

Anyone can report a profile, store, community or event with the report button on its page. A person looks at every report. When something is reported as sexual content or as endangering children, the pictures on that page are hidden right away until we have looked, and come back if nothing is wrong. We remove what is illegal or breaks these terms and tell the person who reported it what we decided. If we remove something of yours, we tell you why and whether automated checks were involved. If you disagree with a decision, write to us through the support page and someone who wasn't involved looks at it again.

Events and results

Tournaments are run by their organisers, not by us. Entry fees, prizes, rules enforcement and any disputes about a result are between you and the organiser. We record what the organiser reports.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damages arising from the use of the alpha service. Liability for intent, gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health is unaffected, as are claims under the German Product Liability Act.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms as the service grows; we will tell you by email before a change that affects you takes effect. You can stop using PlayAgainst at any time. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we may discontinue the service.

Law and contact

German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the law where you live. Reach us at kontakt@playagainst.xyz — details are in the imprint, and how we handle data is in the privacy policy.
